I would like some advice, my GF wants a gaming computer! I told her we can go to micro center tomorrow and I would split the cost with her. This will be my 3rd build so I have a good grasp on what im doing however im not well versed in lower end gaming rigs. Is this a good build for a $600 budget (and everything can fit in a mATX case).

The mobo I choose only has 1 pci slot so id like to choose my gpu wisely. Is this build balanced? Would I be better with a little extra money spent here and saved elsewhere? I would rather buy her a new pc in 2-3 yrs, if she actually uses this one, instead of upgrading this pc with a second gpu.

Id prefer if the system can play any current/newer games that come out at 1080 med settings. Games im currently playing Arma 3, DayZ, BF4, Civ 5, cs:go will this system manage that?

Thanks for taking the time to read my post, I appreciate it!

Can you oc? This is a great new option for a budget-oriented gaming build. Its really good right now and yet its highly upgradable (broadwell i5/i7).

I've avoided oc all of my builds up to this point. Id like to stick with stock for now to save money by not having to get a cpu cooler and just get a better cpu. If this is the wrong way to go about it let me know.

Also id like to get all of my parts from micro center if possible, this is part of the reason why I have picked the parts in the list.

Intel Pentium G3258 and fx-6300 are great for oc builds. For stock clocks this is a great option:
