I was given a desktop by a family member as a present and it has:
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 580 (3GB)
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K (overclocked to 4.4GHz)
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V Pro (UBS 3.0, SATA III)
RAM: 16GB G.SKILL DDR 1600
PSU: Corsair HX1050 1050W
SSD #1: Crucial M4 128GB SATA III
SSD #2: Crucial M4 128GB SATA III
HD: Western Digitial 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache
Optical: LG Super Multi x10 Blu-Ray Burner
Chassis: Corsair Obsidian 800D
My friend offered to sell me his 3 evga 3gb 580s all with water blocks for 350. I was wondering if i would be able to run all 4 or am i better off just selling mine and waiting for the 800 series.

More about : run evga 3gb 580s

This, if you bought one or two 800 series cards it would probably outperform 4 EVGA GTX 580s.

The only reason i thought about it was because it was a cheap upgrade and well the 800 series is probably going to have a nice price tag. I was going to go for a 780ti but well this seemed cheaper and what i saved i was going to put towards a 800 series when they come out. SO its a stupid upgrade even if it is just temporary?
