This is a ward:
:p  :p  Don't ever forget them.

Open up your case and measure the distance from the start of the back to the hard drive bay. If it is 11 inches long, it should fit. I would be pretty worried about the PSU, oem power supplies suck.

The Inspiron 537 has what specs? A Core2Quad? If so the R9 280 ( I assume that is the card you are considering? ) should work fine. The case is standard ATX size. You will however need a recommended 550w power supply.

I very much doubt the Dell OEM is that powerful.

That is a common misconception. Dell very often uses Delta as an OEM. They are good to excellent.

It's a 300w, But I'm upgrading to a 600. I'm slowly building a computer. Know of any cheap power supplies worth anything?

This PSU is often recommended. High quality build and more wattage than you need.

Thanks, I'm upgrading power supply and video card as of now. Then I'm doing ram, processor, and motherboard all at once. Then finishing it off with a case.

You don't have to put off the case so long. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
