So my problem is this. I'm new to pc gaming by like a week, and I've been plagued with problem after problem after problem. I can barely get any of my games to work. The only one that runs barely without issues is Team Fortress 2, and so far, I've tried to get Crysis 1, GTAIV, and some Dolphin emulated games to work without any issues. Though, here's the thing, I'm not trying to ask how to get those individual games to work. I've gotten them to work, but the main issue is when I'm playing them, I can only play for like 3-5 minutes until my screen goes black while they're running, then it'll pop back up, then go back off right afterwards, and then once that starts, the problem just gets progressively worse. I know it sounds like an HDMI problem, but I know it's not. I know it may sound like a graphical setting problem, but I know that's not the case because I'm not even playing demanding games for my system, my system is pretty kick-ass according to pc people I've spoken to, and the problem still continues after I set the settings to MINIMAL. So yeah, after dishing out over 1600 bucks on this system and even over to replace a motherboard and psu, I'm just frustrated SO much with pc gaming, and now, I see why consoles are not dead because you (or at least I'm) getting countless problems. So back to the question: what do you think is the cause? I get error messages like "lost connection to display driver" but I've increased the time it takes to render graphics to 8 seconds, AND I've set adaptive v-sync on. I just don't know. I think has something to do with air flow perhaps. I mean I've checked my temps on my components in midgame, and the temp for my gpu was 80 degrees Celsius. I thought that as long as it wasn't 100, it's good, so I just don't know. Can anybody help me. I want to ascend to the pc master race pleeeeeeeeeease.
