i want to upgrade my cpu, i currently have a amd fx 4300 with an r9 270x and a biostar ta970 motherboard, do you think i should spend more buying the core i5 and a new motherboard? or stick with my actual board and buy the fx 8350? will i see an fps difference? i play most of the time battlefield 4 and my fps are kind of decent 45-65 on high with mantle 40-55 on d3d i think

Since you already own a board capable of running an FX8350, it really is not worth going Intel at the extra cost.
Just upgrade your CPU to a 8350 or 8320 and you will be perfectly happy.

Yeah Intel worth the extra dough, but since you already have a mobo for FX83xx just grab that

Intel has more performance, and you do have a biostar board, not exactly known for reliability. Just putting it out there.

The Biostar TA970 are one of the exception. I normally say the same thing, but the TA970 really is a nice board.
Far better than MSI 970s at least.

Be more constructive next time. :)

I wouldn't dream of overclocking on a biostar board. I would say ditch the amd and get a good board for an i5

I don't see him mentioning overclocking? And as mentioned above, its a decent board, even for limited overclocking.

yes the biostar ta970 it is pretty good is even the customer award choice in newegg, and i wont be overclocking, i would go for the fx 8320/8350 but what makes me undecise is that they are basically my fx 4300+4 cores they single thread score are very similar and i get fps drops even on single threaded games like euro truck 2, if theres anyone with similar specs what fps you get on battlefield 4 or similar??
