PSU isn't giving enough power? Computer wont turn on.

Hi, recently i had a problem with my new computer, which just stopped working.

CPU: AMD FX8350
GPU: Sapphire HD 7950
Motherboard: Asus Crosshair V
PSU: Corsair HX750
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x8GB

Now let me tell the whole story:
After i built it, the computer was working fine. It was built less than 6 months ago.
Suddenly, it started turning off suddenly.
After about 2 ou 3 times, it turned off for good.
I tried to turn it on again after checking the inside, but then the GPU fans would run extremely fast. It was enough to make a small cut in my finger(i was careless too).
After messing with things a bit, i noticed that on screen(my tv) was a message saying it was drawing too much current and that i should disconnect something(the hdmi cable?).
I also noticed that my house's lights would blink once the moment i tried to turn the computer on.
I didn't notice any smell of burnt things, and i specially checked the psu.
Sometimes while the gpu was overcharging(or something), i noticed that the leds on the mobo wouldnt turn on.
By the way, i always used that computer with a stabilizer, so i dont think it could have been affected by a power surge.
The computer and the tv were plugged into the same stabilizer, which was plugged in 110V.

Some guys told me this was a psu problem, but i wanted to be sure.
Do i need to buy a more powerful psu?
Is my psu broken?
What about the gpu? Could it be the problem? (If yes, should i repost this in the gpu section of the forums?)

The computer was working prior to this. But i'll try these steps anyway.

Could a short circuit have happened? When it turned off i hadnt opened the case for months.
So i didnt think it could be it, but after reading that post more carefully i got kinda insecure...
And could i have damaged the system with static maybe? How can i know if i did?

Should i get a more powerful psu?
I thought i could get an EVGA Super Nova 1000 P2, but it is kinda expesive for my budget.
Now, if it would fix my problems once and for all, i'd buy it certainly regardless of price. I prefer to pay high for a quality product than to have all these problems again.
Also, do i NEED a more powerful psu? Because after this, i've been led into thinking that i need a better psu. Is this really the case?

If that was the case, would it not turn on?
Because at the moment it wont turn on any way, no fast gpu, no lights, no sound, nothing.
I'll check for shorts tomorrow anyways. May even breadboard it to be sure.

And could a short circuit just randomly happen, without anyone even opening the case?

Ok, i removed all the screws on the motherboard except for one, which was behind the hsf(It also was the only thing that kept the mobo within the case). It worked... kinda.
The computer now turns on, but it wont show image on screen. I noticed that the gpu had the fans on, but the sapphire led was off.
I checked if the gpu wasn't fully seated and i'm sure it had the power cables.
RAM is in the recommended slots.
Could it be that the psu isn't giving enough power?
This is kind of a main question for me...

Thanks, this is already a relief. So i wont have to purchase a 1000W expensive psu.
Do you happen to know how do i make my gpu work?
It had this problem before, when i first tested my computer, but eventually it worked and kept like that until this problem i described.
Is it defective? Or am i stupid and did something wrong?(I bet this one is more likely)

Also, should i repost this on the gpu section?
Or here is ok or some mod can move my post?

Wish i had, so i'd know exactly whats the problem.
But aside this one, i only have notebooks...
So no, i dont have another psu or even another computer to test mine.
The slot should be working, i had another mobo before that was malfunctioning and then i had the seller test and get me a working one.
But the gpu and psu showed these problems later, and i dont think my guarantee covers it.
I think the better i'd be able to get is a multimeter, but that should take a couple days...
