Definitely go for the 270, if you have a good enough PSU

The AMD R9 270 is a great card for the price. My friend owns the 270x which is nearly identical. Sapphire makes some of the best coolers and fans for the GPUs, which is great because this card runs hot. Do keep in mind, the required power supply is 500w.

The R9 270X is on pair with a GTX 760, therefore it's performance will be better than the GTX 750 Ti. Although there is some points to take:
- The GTX 750 Ti is built with new Maxwell technology, which means it will consume less energy than the R9 270X
- The GTX 750 Ti should produce less heat than the R9 270X
- As far as has being shown, he GTX 750 Ti does not support SLI, so if you plan on running multiple graphics cards in the future, the 750 is not the way to go.

Am i better off going a different route of cards? or sticking with my crossfired graphics cards? do you reccomend any graphics cards that are in the same price range that are better quality?

I'd always recommend a single stronger card over two lesser cards any day. If you have the money and like AMD, the R9 280x or the R9 290 is the way to go. If you would like NVIDIA, then the GTX 770 would be your buy. Both of those cards perform almost the exact same. Do keep in mind that a low end CPU has the potential of bottlenecking a good card such as the 270 or any of these cards for that matter. Make sure you build a PC all around, and not only in some areas if you want to draw its full potential.

Do you mind explaining what the difference is between Nvidia and AMD is? Just preference? also, im just looking for best performance, which would i get the overall best out of

AMD is the go to for people on a strict budget mostly, as they provide GPUs that are nearly as powerful as their nvidia counterparts but are cheaper, the difference between a AMD GPu and their Nvidia counterpart is like 10% for some cards, but the difference for other cards are very minimal yet the AMD cards can be 30%-50% cheaper. People who have intel rigs normally go for nvidia , people would pick nvidia as their cards have better power efficiency and generally more powerful than what AMD have to offer, though AMD cards supposedly run better with a AMD CPU, and it has been tested to be true, though the increase in fps is like 5-10fps, but in your case, with your option of which gpu to go for, I'd recommend the 270

I will try to keep this understandable and simple. There are two general types of builds people do:
1. intel CPU with an NVDIA/GTX GPU 2. AMD FX CPU with a AMD GPU
It all comes down to preference. I have used AMD forever. Why? I just happened to buy AMD parts, had no problems, and continued to do so. I'm satisfied with AMD.

There are also two types of games: 1. Singles threaded (Older) and 2. Multithreaded (New Generation)
New gen games/Multithreaded are games such as: Battlefield 4, Black Flag, Watch Dogs, etc.
Single threaded games are games such as: DayZ, Call Of Duty 4, CSGO.

The intel builds with NVIDIA cards perform better on single threaded tasks. The New higher cores (6 and 8) FX series, amd FX 6300 and 8350 for example, perform better on applications that have more threads.

Now without going any deeper than what you are asking, between the R9 270 and the GTX 750ti, the R9 wins. Here are some statistics for you to look at: http://www.hwcompare.com/17282/geforce-gtx-750-ti-vs-ra...
http://gpuboss.com/gpus/Radeon-R9-270-vs-GeForce-GTX-75...

Without out a doubt, between the two, the R9 270 is better, case closed. Good luck
