Is it okay to have an 8GB of Ram with this processor?

My laptop's processor is Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU T2330 @ 1.60GHz 1.60GHz. what is that for? Im not really familiar with such things. Sorry for that. Is it okay to have an 8GB of Ram with that kind processor? Thanks in advance. :D Btw, I have only a 32-bit operating system.

okk so what types of games do u play i dont think u play gfx intensive games ....so 4 gb would be more that enough for that and when you get the lag press ctrl + alt +del to enter the task manager , go to the performance tab and check the memory usage if u are running out of memory then you may face the freezing and lag issues or it may just a week server issue with online games..

no you will be fine but do you really need 8 gb ram?? if do do official work or surf net and watch movies 2 gb to 4gb ram will be enough...and more ram means you can run more application without lag ....

Processor's are the brain of a computer. They are responsible for carrying out all processing of tasks.
The processor uses the RAM as temporary storage to store a task while it processes other tasks and then comes back other tasks by retieving it from the RAM by looking for the unique address that the data was stored in and then processing it.

then which is better, to have an 8GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM? which is better when you play online games, etc.? because my computer lags when I play games.
