Hi I am using my desktop it will all be fine until my WiFi just randomly cuts out and then I have to reconnect. Lately in my house from the hub we have all been having issues, we think it may be the weather as the person using the wifi in another room is it only because of this? I am using a USB WiFi stick thing as well. Also this has only started to get worse as we just ordered fiber optics (BT infinity) to get fitted in a week may this be it? I live in the UK and is there a way I can improve this?

Sorry if I don't respond quickly.

to see if your wifi adapter has a problem.ask someone for there laptop with wifi make a adhoc network and conect with conect the 2 pcs together and transfer a large file.if it gets transered it means your wifi stick is ok.
you are indoes if you where in the rain then weather whould be a problem.
if you are all using wifi and everyone is watching videoes downloading live streaming or anything simular yes you will experience some problems.
what is your internet speed and how many are conecting through wifi?

Its around 2mb download and 560kb upload this has been a larger issue since I started youtube. But like I said we are getting fibre optics in a week. I have done that and I don't think it is the stick. But it is now stable so I think maybe BT are just having issues.

2mbps download and 0.5 up is only to open email.
fiber optic is expensive and is usual used because its immune to electromagnetic interference EMI and can transimt at large distances without needing a repeater.
i would advise you not to install fiber optic if it is for home use.better go for standard adsl 24 which is usual 24 mbps down and up to 1.4 for upload.if you want more speed and you think this is not enough go for vdsl.
which it has 50 mbps down and 8 mbps upload.and if tou want to play it future proof install rj 45 jacks with cat 6a cabling for speeds up to 10 gbps.for desktops and yeah even if you wanted to put fiber optic for mobile phones there in no way you would be able to.
with this way if your provider was able to give you 10 gbps you would be able to connect and have 10 gbps on each pc.
well i advise you not to put fiber optic if it is not for business and there is more than 50 users online simultaneously.tell your provider to upgrade your speed to 24 mbps and see if it suits you and is you need more its up to you.fiber optic is as i mentioned before used to connect routers from London to Scotland.
