R9 290 Getting Returned because of overheating, £310 to spend on a new GPU, what to get?

basically my 290 is getting returned that i bought at christmas and they are offering me a store refund on ebuyer and i have 310 to spend on a gpu, dunno wether to stick with amd after the heat and noise issues with this card, any ideas? never really got to max out the full gpu as it would always overheat before i hit max usage on normal clocks.

can add £10-20 if its slightly out of range

I had noise and heat issues with my MSI Twin Frozr 290 too. I'd suggest an Asus or MSI 770, or if you can afford it, an Asus 780.

ALSO i may add, my current specs are :
AMD 8320
corsair venegance 8gb 1600mhz
corsair h100
asrock extreme3 990fx
corsair cx750M

i wouldnt mind adding another stick of ram in there, if the heat and noise problems will continue with any 290 then id prefer to go 280x or something
as i despise the noise and heat of this card

i dont think its a refund to credit card i think its just a store credit, so it will have to be ebuyer :/

actually dm, i want a new monitor, so take 105 out of the equation and i now have 205 left for a gpu, 770 or 280x?

Both perform similar, but the 280x is probably a better bet these days due to having more vram.
