I am looking into building my own PC and have been thinking about storage solutions. I am currently thinking I want a budget SSD just for the OS and then a 500gb HDD. I am trying to find these two products at a price under £150. Any ideas?
(Also I'm not to bothered about super high speed SSD's, I am just wanting a reliable one).
Thanks

The best value SSD at the moment is the Crucial MX100, which you could pair with a WD Blue, which would be a little cheaper than the Black, or a Seagate Constellation which will be cheaper still.

The 840 EVO is a great SSD for a system drive though, because it comes with software that makes it run as much as twice as fast for a high percentage of reads and rights, so if you're happy to spend the extra, it's definitely worth it

crucial m500 is pretty cheap now (bought mine a few months back). it does not matter if you don't buy the fastest, as it will be faster than conventional hdd. Heck i still use my old intel x-25 (not too sure of the model), and it still loads windows in 13sec (after the beep).
