Is it possible to swap the GPUs that are integrated onto the mother boards on the laptops? For example, if I were to buy an msi gs60 with a 860m right now, is it possible to change the gpus in the future to save money?

You have to dissamble your entire laptop to do it, even then, it's quite hard

There are some OEMs that sell barebone notebooks, such as Clevo. Those are meant for you to assemble, and as such, are fully upgradeable. You can find mobile graphics cards for sale, but unless you are using a barebone notebook, yours will most likely bear a BGA GPU, which means it is soldered into the motherboard.
