Hey i want to build a new computer that i will be using in gaming but also in coding. The problem is the budget witch is around 950 usd (american dollars). I was thinking about going for an i5-4460 and and r9 280 with 8 GB ram. Can i play on this system any next gen game like bf4, ac4 and will this system work good for the next 4 years?

Since you are writing in general terms - generally this will be fine.

You could get similar functionality with an AMD build - possibly investing more in your GPU and ensuring a solid quality PSU.

Good luck.

You can easily fit a 280X into the build, and still get the very best, i am skimping on the psu, but really, the cx is not that bad.

i only used amazon, newegg and best buy as merchants. i have spent alot on storage so you can get what you like there, and you will come well under budget.

Some things about your build:
You have a terrible PSU, the CX are that bad.
A 3tb HDD, nobody, really nobody is going to use more than 1tb unless they store tens of thousands of photos or thousands of hours of videos or own thousands of games.
R9 280x is a waste of money, it's just an overclocked r9 280, except costs lots more.

Salut Vlad,

You can go with something like this for a bit more future-proofing, or we can trim on the parts to lower the price:

It would be great if you would already own an OS, and if we drom the SSD for now, as it`s a very easy upgrade to do later on. This would put the build within your budget, while not really lowering the performance.

its a mediocre psu, its not going to just go to explode and ruin your rig all of a sudden, dont overload it, and you'll be fine.

i told op to get what he likes hdd wise. this 3 tb hdd is great value for money tho.

the 280 has cores disabled IIRC, i.e. its a 7950 and the 280x is a 7950 ghz edition +

not to say the 280 wont get you 60fps on full hd, but id rather op is future proof, plus its the card i got, so i am biased :p

True, just with the PSU, it's not too bad but there are better ones for the money, and HDD wise you can just save some cash on a smaller HDD that should still be more than enough.
As for the R9 280, I think I was confusing that with the R9 270x, which really is just an overclocked card for more money. But the R9 280 still isn't worth paying the $50 more that it usually costs, as you can still overclock a R9 280 to be just as good.
