Didn't really know where to post this so forgive me if it's in the wrong section.
So because my onboard audio seems to not use one of my two speakers (all i get is static out of it) i decided to buy a cheap sound card to try and fix the problem and possibly improve the sound quality a bit.

Looking up a few cheap sound cards on the internet it was clear that the Asus Xonar DGX was the only one actually worth buying, however researching it a bit i saw a number of people having problems getting it to work with Windows 7 x64, so my question is basically will the sound card work? Would really like some answers and opinions from people that had the DGX card on a W7 x64 system.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
Have used a couple of these with no problems on Win7, it's not a high end audiophile type of sound card but it's much better than the on-board sound on many mobos. :)

I have, same thing Tradesman1 said - its a step up from MB sound quality. Just make sure you do an install of the latest drivers, and disable onboard audio off the motherboard. It sounds pretty good with headphones. Before you upgrade, you might want to confirm that the speaker isn't blown.
