Why can't I overtake the limitation with my chip?

Not all chips overclock the same, and most reviewers get samples given to them that are cherry picked to perform better than most of what you buy. That way the product is more attractive when a consumer reads a review.

I don't mean about stability in these frequencies, I mean about the possibility trying to over take the 840MHZ&1250MHZ limitation. Do you get it?, it's a little bit, and I'm sure that my chip will do better if there is a possibility to magnify the frequencies' range. MSI and CCC don't allow more than 840Mhz in the core, what about GPUTOOL?

Manufacturers use a process called binning where a chip must meet certain criteria to become a class of chip such as an i5, i7, etc. Sometimes the chip still meets the criteria to become a certain chip but it is on the low side of the qualifications. Normal performance will not be affected, but anything extra such as overclocking may be impacted and is just the luck of the lottery.

Guys, I did overclock my GPU to 905Mhz Core clock and 1335Mhz Memory clock, but the max c.c under full load (OCCT) is 882Mhz. why?
