Is this graphics card good for gaming?

This is an R9 Series and it is a 290. It will definitely run DayZ and Elders Scroll on High. You are all set to play man. But if you don't mind spending a little bit more. Go for the R9270X, it is only a $30 extra worth of money. If it's too much for you, then stay with your current graphics card. It should perform the task you want for a few years.
