Core 2 quad qx6850

My friend oc'ed his qx6850 on 3.4GHz.But when he ran prime 95 cpu-z says that its on 2.04GHz because the multiplier is 6,but in the bios he set it to 10.How can he set it to always be 10?

Tell him to turn off Speedstep to stop it clocking down.

Check temperatures, it might be thermal throttling

Well idles are about 50 and 100% load is about 65
