Triple Monitors Question

Thinking about switching to triple monitors for the first time in my life. Currently, I have a BenQ XL2411Z as my monitor -- really dig the 144hz. I would like to add two more of the same monitor, but I am a little worried about bezel thickness. I have plenty of desk space (Ikea Galant corner desk).

Does anyone have any experience with these monitors to know if a triple display is possible or worth the money?

Mostly a gamer. I have double monitors at work and find it useful (I'm an attorney who does a lot of writing). But mostly, I'd like to have the option for triple display in games, or the ability to have say a guide open in one monitor and game in the middle monitor.

I'm currently running SLI'd 760s but will be making the jump either to ASUS Strix 780s (the ones with 6GB of VRAM), CF'd R9-290s, or the 880 (possibly SLI'd) (if they are released before, say, October).

My big concern is the bezel size. I can't find any forum posts or anything online from someone that actually has set up the XL2411Zs in a triple-monitor configuration.

You will be able to run triple monitor above 60fps with the strix 780 no probs :) Have you tried a search on google?

I've tried "xl2411x triple monitors" "xl2411z nvidia surround" "xl2411z eyefinity" but haven't been able to come up with anything from anyone. I've even run it through image search to try to find a picture.

Would you recommend the Strix over waiting for the 880?

No, since it seems you don't have enough budget for a 780 Ti, the newer 800 series will provide better performance than a 780 Ti but cheaper, so you could wait for the 800 series and get better performance than the 780 Ti but also cheaper, so I'd advise you to wait

"Budget" isn't really an issue.

The reason I was favoring the 290/780 6GB over the 780 ti was solely about VRAM. A few of the games I play (Watch Dogs, Titanfall), have texture options that require at least 3GB of VRAM. I figured that turning on ultra textures in those games and increasing my field of vision would likely require more than 3GB of VRAM.

And since it's unlikely that nVidia is going to eat into the Titan Black sales to create a 6GB 780 ti, I resigned myself for the 780 6GB models, of which the Strix is the best reviewed. The only reason I am even considering the AMD cards is that the price is so much lower for two of them versus two 780 6GB models. Two 780 tis are well within what I can afford, I'm just concerned about the VRAM, and without even knowing what sort of VRAM and bus width nVidia plans to include on the 880s, I'm hesitant about waiting for them.

Oh okay, if budget ain't a issue, get the amd r9 290 x2, and also evga are releasing a 6gb 780 Ti in the near future, most of the mdeium/high end cards will come with 4 I would estimate, mainly because amd are creating cards with 4gb of vram so nvidia will catch up aswell, so you could getthe r9 290 x2 / 6gb 780 ti 6gb / r2 290x 8gb ( From saphhire)
