What CPUs would be compatible with a Toshiba Satellite C675-7200? I want to replace the current processor.

I want a processor with at least 3.00GHz, just for running certain games better and on their recommended settings, not waaaaay below what they should be run at. (in my case, Minecraft.)

I have read a couple things about the CPU being soldered onto the motherboard?
I hope that isn't the case :/ also, I would like one that possibly produces less heat? That isn't a must, but..

Processor: Intel Pentium CPU B940@2.00 Ghz, 2000 Mhz, 2 Cores, 2 Logical Processors

SMBIOS ver.: 2.6

This computer was refurbished before I bought it (online). So I'm going on the assumptions that is is the original processor Toshiba sold in these.

Given that it's a laptop, it's highly unlikely that you'll be able to upgrade the processor due to power and cooling limitations of the system.

no real upgrade for you. Also, Upgrading a laptop CPU is not easy for someone without experience. You are best off putting together a gaming PC and streaming off the PC with your laptop. That or a new laptop.

Well, that sucks. I wasn't really wanting to get a whole new laptop/desktop.
I have a desktop, but it's currently not in my possession. I don't really think it'd be worth upgrading anyway.

None as the current CPU is soldered to the socket.

I do have some experience with opening computers and replacing things/working on them.Never removed a CPU, though. I have an uncle who's practically a professional that would've done it for me. Also, I wouldn't be interested in the streaming, nor was I wanting to get a whole new computer... /nomoney.
But I guess it can't be helped.
