Okay so basically I am thinking corrupted files originally but let me start off with the issue.

I am using a seagate external 2TB and a WD 1TB external HDD, the seagate is the bugger that is acting up. Basically its plugged into an LG tv and some of the files are coming up invalid, these are video files I have watched multiple times with no issues and seems to be getting worse. These files work perfectly fine on my laptop running from the harddrive and have even before redownloaded the existing files on my laptop to the HDD as I originally thought it might of been a transfer corruption but the issue will happen in a few months again. Am about to get windows to check and recover bad sectors etc etc.....But my question is why is this happening? I always make sure I wait till the HDD is safe to remove from the PC these files DID work in the past, if its a corruption issue what is causing it?

MY WD hasn't ever had a problem and even the seagate I bought my father has done it and its only a damn week or so old, it actually did it with files I just freshly transferred over from my laptop, his TV is a Soniq cheaper brand.

Cheers
