Hello people :D

I am currently planning to build a computer, my first one, and I need some advices from more experienced builders. I want a gaming PC but I won't play really big games like BF4, I'm more of an

So here's the parts I picked : http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/4HsGbv

What do you think? Is it good or not? Could it be better for the same amount of money, or even have equal performance for less money? Let me know! :)

I also have some minor concerns, maybe futile, but I just want to be sure :

1. Is the Hyper 212 EVO a good CPU cooler? I've heard a lot of good things about it, but maybe some people have had concern with it? Also, will the Ripjaws X memory sticks fit under this cooler, even with a fan on each side?

2. Is Gigabyte a good brand for the R9 270x? I like how they look, but should I get an Asus, a MSI or a HIS instead?

3. Is the WD Black really better than the Blue? Or should I get the Blue instead?

4. Should I get better fans for the Hyper 212 EVO? And for the case, I planned to buy some Corsair SP140, are they any good? Finally, should I get PWNs fans or get a cheap fan controller?

That's it, sorry for that long of a post, hope you can help me and thank you for your time! :)

Solution
1.- Yes, the Hyper Evo is a great cooler, most used among gamers for the quality and cheap price.

2.- Yes, Gigabyte is a great brand, and it has one the best aftermarket cooling solutions.

3. If you play games or do video work (or anything else that requires moving data to/from the HDD) then a black might benefit you. If you don't do data intensive things then a blue will suffice.

4.- You can get, extra coolermaster blades, or get some noctua ones.

Overall is a good system, and should run most of the games at high/ultra settings

I actually got it to be cheaper and better...
http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/ZrsGbv
Changed your hard drive. This one is good and cheaper. Changed to better RAM, bit more expensive but better in terms if speed and performance. Changed your GPU to a 280, with this GPU you'll have no problem maxing out most games at 1080p. Also changed yor PSU. XFX makes very good quality PSUs. This is semi modular not fully. Means that most inportant cables are just left on and others can be plugged in versus the fully modular where you everything can be plugged in and taken out if not needed. This is 750w and cheaper as well. If you are willing to go for non modular there's one for $60. This build is cheaper and better than you're current build.

And you also asked for same performance but cheaper. Here it is: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/KHtGbv
Changed the PSU to the $60 I mentioned. Changed the HDD like last time. I also switched to a 270 from a 270x. They're both exactly the same except the 270x is a bit faster than the 270, but both cards will have no trouble getting high settings on most games. And the 270 can always be overclocked to 270x speeds and gigabyte windforce will provide sufficient cooling for that.

As to answer your questions. The hyper 212 evo cooler is a good cooler. And you shouldn't have problems fitting your RAM with it, but if you're still worried you can always get low profile RAM.
As different brands goes they offer different things, according to series name. For example the Gigabyte Windforce offer really good cooling. The ASUS Direct CU II offers silence. However if it is not part of a series then it does not matter where you buy it from as it is just the reference card with their name slapped on it. (Series would be gigabyte windforce 270x reference would be gigabyte 270x)
For fans I think you've got sufficient cooling.

Oh my.. Thank you very much, very kind of you, I'm sorry I already given the best answer to another answer but I really appreciate what you did! Wish I could change. I didn't saw the Gigabyte R9 280 the first time, but is there a reason that it's really cheaper than the other ones? Also, I'm unsure about the Seagate, I've heard they had a way higher failure rate, maybe it's not true!

Thank you for your time and your advice it's really nice!

I use Seagate HDDs right along side WDs. There is no difference. Anyone who tells you there is a difference is a liar. All the parts inside the drives come from one or two factories in Asia. They are essentially the same quality. RAM is exactly the same. Anyone who tells you Corsair is better than some cheaper brand like Transcend or Kingston is completely wrong. ALL RAM chips are made in the same factor.

Ok thanks I tought at first it was some sort of refurbished or something like that, glad you pointed it out to me! PS: How do I change the best answer actually? I just want to give you some credits :)

Yeah I just saw this sorry I didn't at first!

Oh well thank you for the information, I guess I'll stick with Seagate drives since it's cheaper than WD!
