Hi all,

After upgrading my PC from a Sabertooth X79 to a Rampage IV Black Edition, the system would crash to a blue screen every time I tried to install Windows 7 (both 64-bit and 32-bit). It was fine with POST and BIOS, but trying to go past that resulted in a crash within 25 or 30 seconds. After working with Asus and trying all of the normal tests, I returned that motherboard and got a new replacement from a different seller, and in the meantime reinstalled the Sabertooth to check that all of the other components worked correctly (they did). However, the second Black Edition is crashing in the exact same manner. This leads me to believe it is either some sort of wiring/compatibility issue with my components and the motherboard, or that both motherboards were not constructed properly/were damaged in transport. Any help would be greatly appreciated--I will just return the board if the problem cannot be fixed.

I made sure to only connect 1 of the HDDs (which has no data on it and was formatted as a normal storage disk) when I tried to install Windows. I have never used RAID, so all of the drives should be set to AHCI.
