Ok I lost my power supply to my s232hl acer monitor several weeks ago. I just got a 19v replacement power supply for it. I plug it in and it wouldn't detect my VGA input, so I try my extra VGA cable plus 2 different HDMI cords. My monitor still won't detect a signal. What am I doing wrong here? By the way there is only one VGA and one HDMI port on my desktop.

Please clarify "lost"

If it means you outright misplaced and cannot find the power supply - then the new one should work and I'm not sure what to tell you.

If "lost" means the power supply died while in use - it could be that in its death throes that it sent some bad power to the monitor and took out some of the monitor's circuitry at the same time (ie powersurge)

I actually just misplaced it. The new supply I have is specifically for my model. I was just hoping I could find a fix here before I take this to geek squad instead
