Hello everyone,

Recently I got a laser printer as a switch from my inkjet printer. The inkjet printer really lasted me well, but recently it can't print anything (ink was not empty), so I bough the Dell C1765nfw. The massive power consumption is something which shocks me. With it's complicated mechanics inside a laser printer, is it better to leave it on sleep, or just shut it down? Deep sleep only consumes about 2 watts, so it doesn't really matter, as long as the printer can last longer. What do you guys think?

The printers are designed to go to sleep when they have no activity. When called upon to do something they warm up and then print. This is how they should work. Shutting them off all the time will only make it take longer to actually print.
