Hello,
yesterday was a thunderstorm, and I left my Ethernet cable plugged in, I wasn't home and came today, so I started my PC, and tried to connect to Internet... I couldn't, there was no LAN adapter showing. I switched to Wi-Fi and now I'm online, but there is no LAN adapter in Device manager, nor in network and sharing center>change adapter settings.
I went to my BIOS and checked for onboard LAN, and it was [Enabled] .

Could it be that thunder fried my adapter?
I cant find any adapter info, anywhere in control panel... Like it was never there.... I remember it said something like Nvidia - 100mb/s - ... something with these words in the adapter description.
Can I do something about this, can I fix it?

Thank you.

You could also try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the network to see if they see the onboard network device. You could try an add on network card to see if that works. Then you are into possibly flashing the bios or resetting the bios to defaults.
