I have a Dell E6410 with Windows 7. It's refurbished and has been working just fine until yesterday, when the screen brightness started changing on its own. It does this every few minutes, sometimes even changing within seconds. I'm at my wits end. I've tried everything. I disabled adaptive brightness. I turned off Ambient Light Sensor in the BIOS. I messed around in Advanced Power Settings. Is there anything else I can do? The laptop works great other than this issue, but it's incredibly annoying.

Have you tried reinstalling graphics drivers?
