I'm deciding on a keyboard for gaming. Should I get this deal? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA26C16D5557)
Or should I get a razer keyboard? (I'm looking for best performance per dollar)

If I should get a razer keyboard, should I get the Ultimate 2013 or 2014? Also what is the difference between the 2013 and 2014? I know one is more updated but will one perform better than the other?

Thanks in advance.

Like FirstTime is saying, the reviews lean towards the k70. After researching between the two (thanks to this post >.>), I've found that more lean towards the k70. I don't own both, and thus, couldn't tell you which is better based on experience.

That's a budget, non-mechanical keyboard. If you want a sturdy, "clicky," mechanical keyboard, you'll be investing at least about $50, or more, depending on switch color, LEDs, brand, etc.

Does it matter if it's mechanical?

EDIT: The reviewer compares the 2014 and 2013 in this.

It needs to be mechanical. If it's mechanical, I didn't notice. (probably because of the price tag)

Yeah, the one you linked isn't a mechanical. I personally suggest...http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Vengeance-Mechanical-Gaming-Keyboard/dp/B00CD1FC6G?SubscriptionId=AKIAIEF7KZG4SSIJ7QQA&tag=toms_shopping_rev-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00CD1FC6G

4 stars compared to 4 1/2 aren't the same. and Razer made new switches because they're contract ended with mx in Germany. So Razer made they're own and people say the buttons sound different on the razer, so like the m and z would sound different, and they break sometimes. But Corsair is still using the mx cherry switches, which are more reliable.

well you just pick one as I did and hope for the best out of it it will be nice and what your looking for or it sucks I went through 4 before I settled on this one when I took it out of the box I knew it was a keeper and its not let me down as of today [I bought it when they first came out ] but each there own whats good for me may not be for you..

good luck
