I posted this on the lenovo forums but thought I might get a better/faster answer over here.

Last week I bought a lenovo k 450e based on a sales rep who told me that it came with a 750W power supply. I literally copied and pasted the model number for him to look up the specs when I talked to him. I didn't believe the first sales rep, so I talked to another one via chat and he also told me that it came with a 750W power supply. I went ahead and bought the computer and an NVIDIA 760 gtx graphics card to upgrade because the sales reps also told me that the lenovo k450 was compatible with it.

So I got my computer, opened it up, and saw the 280W power supply (he also told me it came with liquid cooling - another lie). I called customer service, was hung up on twice, and after talking to 4-5 people there wasn't really anything they could do for me.

My question is this: the 760gtx NVIDIA card requires a minimum psu of 500W. I have to buy another power supply for this to work. I am looking at the corsair 600W power supply (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Modular-Bronze-ATX12V/dp/B00ALYOPSS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1406581674&sr=8-2&keywords=corsair+600+watt) Does anyone know if this would be compatible? If this isn't compatible, what would any other good options be?

I haven't really ever switched out this stuff before so I'm not sure what specs anyone needs to help with this question, but here's what I have:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790 CPU @ 3.6 GHz.
Motherboard (I think): Lenovo model 10181
RAM: 16GB DDR3 1600MHz

Thanks for any help!

If anyone is curious I just went out and bought the Corsair 750M power supply. It connected just fine and was able to fit in the case. The motherboard had a 4-pin connector for the CPU and the Corsair came with an 8-pin, but I called called Corsair and they said it was fine to just split it. I plugged everything in yesterday and it has been working great.
