"Record is not available with your AMD card" with 2x Sapphire r9 290 Tri-X

I have two Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 cards, and yet the AMD Gaming Evolved (raptr) software claims that "Record is not available with your AMD card". Why is this? I have the latest drivers (Catalyst 14.4).

Unless Wikipedia is wrong, my cards should support VCE 2.0, which is apparently what this software wants.

RAPTR and AMD Evolved are new and very buggy, and many of the programs they have to offer are in the same state because they are in the BETA stages. If you need a simple and easy to use free Recorder and Streaming Software, I recommend OBS. It is simple and a great tool used my many many people.

It allows you to record/stream almost anywhere with many advanced options if you need those as well.
