Broken screen stuck in safe mode boot

Ive been using my TV as a screen. I changed boot options tonsafe mode than when I rebooted the ports for the HDMI no longer work so I cant see the screen. I tried the solutions from other posts to no avail. Please help. Its a Dell laptop if that matters

Try closing the laptop. You won't be able to use the keyboard, obviously, but the external display might kick in that way. In safe mode it's not going to use your display settings that designate the external monitor as the main display. It will try to use the laptop display. If you have your power settings to sleep or power off when the lid is closed you're pretty much stuck. Why did you change the boot options to safe mode, is there a separate issue?
