Can I overclock my RAM with the motherboard I have?

I have an msi fm2-a75ma-e35. I know that this motherboard is unsuitable for CPU overclocking (not many phases and has no VRM cooling) however would I be able to overclock my RAM with this MOBO. I have 2x4GB Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP RAM. I wish to sustain a 1866MHz overclock with this RAM because I have a Trinity based APU which I have read would benefit from this overclock greatly. Would this be reasonable?

It may, but really you would want 1866 RAM to do this, not 1600 RAM that is forced to run outside it's normal timing.

I'm not worried about the RAM, I'm more concerned about the motherboard overheating or giving unstable voltages.

It won't affect voltages, heat may be a small amount as the memory controller is built into AMD chips. Only way to know is to try.
