Hi everyone, I plan on adding a second monitor for multi-tasking purposes.

My current monitor is: Dell SE198WFP. It's an old 19-inch flatscreen monitor by DELL but I can buy another one for relatively cheap so I said sure why not.

My graphics card is an ASUS GTX 660 factory overclocked
My RAM is 8GB
My motherboard is: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB

My question is: Can I just hook the monitor up to the port on the GPU and that's it? Or are my components not capable/I need a converter of some sort? Sorry for the noob questions, just I'm new to this and I would rather not run in to a bunch of problems. Thanks very much!

Like this card?

If so,im guessing your old 19 inch is using one of the DVI ports on the right, One is a DVI-D and the other is a DVI-I

More info here

If you buy a new monitor that has an HDMI Port or DisplayPort,HDMI usually being cheaper,or the unused DVI,you should be able to plug it right in and start your PC then use the Windows Display Manager to set up Extended Desktop display mode.

That is my current GPU. I am using the top slot for my monitor right now. I can get the exact same monitor with the correct cables. So could I just plug that into the bottom slot and it should work fine? Or do I need a converter/connector or some sort.
