How do I connect to the internet on my Asus Q501L laptop? Airplane mode IS OFF, but where is the wireless switch? and restar

Wireless laptop connection problem. Laptop Asus Q501L says "not connected". Says to: make sure airplane mode IS OFF - it is; make sure wireless switch is turned on - how? and to restart router - how?

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I am unsure why the laptop had "make sure the wireless switch is turned on" if there is no wireless switch. Why would that be include as a solution? Anyway I was able to fix the problem from a different forum. Thanks.
