Headset works fine but mic isnt

Okay ^^
i recently bought my headset which is a HyperX Cloud a fancy one which has the feature to plug your mic in with a jack cable like onto the headset... the thing is it's not being detected... if i go into the sound and click recording there is nothing--- please help me.

i tried and i tried every plugable thing it isnt detecting anything at all.. okay the mic is like alittle piece you plug onto the headset... on the headset there is the mic and sound cable

I have had a few good gaming headsets and for everyone I have ever used not one of them were detected as a different mic in the recording options. The mic properties just switch to use the headset mic, unless you have something like the Astro A50 that has its own software and drivers or some Razer and SteelSeries products it doesn't show as anything different. If it isn't working then you have an issue. Have you tested the headset to see if the speakers and the mic work??

Well the speakers defiently work... it's just that damn mic that isnt working.. there is nothing detected.

Make sure the mic is completely in the port. Also are there any other cords that this came with other than the mic piece and the mic and sound cords?? One more thing to add, make sure both of the jack cables are in there respective jacks. If none of that helped will look around some more.

Okay i Fixed it guys ^^
i right clicked to show disabled devices found it and enabled it... but thanks for your time and effort thanks alot

Ok please check your usb device that you plug your headset in. on the side there is a microphone slide switch that un mutes the mic and it will work,

Go to recording devices and anywhere in the white open space, right click, and hit show disabled devices.
