For weeks now I have been reading and studying all types of threads and reviews and have finally come up with what I think is a very solid build for my budget ( I was going to have CyberPower build ) http://

After reading some serious negative reviews on past experience I have decided to give it a try on my own . My main issue is I am a bit unsure on my choice of Mobo and Gpu . everyone seems to have a different opinion on the Mobo . Is it worth spending an extra 100 or so dollars to pick up a 770 instead of a 760? my gaming is pretty limited atm waiting on some new games to drop and stuck playing around with Age of Conan and some other older games . In fact the 750ti would be solid for what I do now but I am afraid it wouldn't be strong enough for new releases so opted for the 760 . Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated . Even if its just pointing me to another review to do more homework that would be awesome .

I'm new to the forum as well, however I'm not exactly a newbie in terms of builds. While I have an AMD build and not an Intel build, I can give you a couple of pointers on looking for parts in general.

First off, Intel motherboards and processors are not my expertise so I can't help you there. However, the NVIDIA card you plan to buy seems pretty good for what you want. I run a Radeon HD 7770 Ghz edition and it runs Crysis on high at 30-60fps, and it's probably half the card your card is so you'll be fine with your card I think. One thing I also noticed is that you're buying a mid tower, I would recommend buying a full sized tower because you may want to upgrade, change things, etc. later down the road. Having a mid tower limits and makes some things not possible, however buying a full sized tower allows you to expand, upgrade, move things around easily, better ventilation, amongst many other things. You can get a good full sized tower with fans in it for $110-120, around the same price you're paying for that mid tower case, so I'd recommend to pay just a little more for something that will make things much better for you.

Also, just my personal opinion and experience on this, but I'd recommend a WD HDD instead of Seagate, every Seagate I've ever had in a computer, which isn't many but 2-3, has had some sort of issue. Be it a bad read sector, noise, whatever, they've always been a problem for me, WD has not given me any of these problems so far and hopefully it stays that way. I know HDDs can be fickle but this is just from my personal experience/insight.

I hope someone can help you with the rest of your issues, I wish I had more knowledge on Intel builds, but sadly we are like Coke and Pepsi, the same results with 2 different recipes =| lol

can swap to a 770gpu and 850psu from new egg for roughly 80 more dollars after rebates and the ram was more eye candy than anything . getting rid of the ram and stepping down to say corsair vengeance would put me half way there with the savings . hadn't really thought about a full size tower either and everything I have read about the corsair cases has been really solid for ease of use .
this will be my first build so being able to actually build it will be a test :) I will look into some full size cases and see if any would work.
thanks for the tips.

I can totally justify picking up a WD HDD for a few dollars more , the builds that I had used from Cyberpower had the wd blue series in them and the black was maybe 10 bucks more or something .
