I currently have a wd green 2tb hard drive that is unopened and want to use it for my xbox one. All I have to do is buy an enclosure or sata reader at USB 3.0. However, is the wd green sufficient for the xbox one? I know it says 7200rpm but obviously it isn't. Would I suffer performance loss if I chose to use this setup? Will the loading times differ and severely affect my gaming?
Thanks
Allan

Yes better try Caviar Black or Blue....

Blacks are semi-performance desktop drives suitable for running as a boot drive (but obviously not nearly as fast as a SSD) and have the highest spindle speeds at 7200RPM.

Reds are meant for inexpensive NAS (network attached storage) setups with 2-4 bays. Spindle speed is 5900RPM if I recall correctly.

Greens are meant for auxiliary bulk storage for desktops (movies, games, etc.) and aren't really suitable as a Windows boot drive. Spindle speed is 5400RPM, which factors in to the reduced power usage and "Green" moniker.

I already have the wd green so I don't have to buy a new hard drive...

No I'm telling you that you will have to wait like 5-10 to load a map with it... Friend of mine tried this a few week ago and we waited for 8 min in loading screen of call of duty :D
