Hello, today I decided to up the RAM on my Dell Inspiron 545, I pulled the 2 (1GB) RAM cards out of an older computer with an issue unrelated to the RAM. Both the Cards in the motherboard are 1GB DDR2, so I added another 2 witch didn't work. Here is what I tried.
Sockets 1 and 2 Empty. Sockets 3 and 4 with Factory Ram - boots perfectly.
Sockets 1 and 2 with non-stock DDR2 Ram Cards. Slots 3 and 4 with Stock cards - No Display
Sockets 1 and 2 with factory RAM. Slots 3 and 4 with non-stock cards - No Display
Slots 1 and 2 empty. Sloths 3 and 4 with non-stock cards - No Display
Any help will be appreciated, Thanks.
