Hey Guys, i'm going to buy a new pc so i wanted to know somethings..
Will the upcoming games require more than 3GB of vram ? doesn't matter what resolution..
And if this happens, will GTX 770 4GB provide more FPS than GTX 780 3GB ?
Should i buy GTX 770 4GB and SLI it later or should i buy GTX 780 3GB and stick with it ?

Thanks

Get the 780. 3gb Vram would be enough for next few years. 3GB vram is just fine unless you wanna play an extremely modded game like running 200-400 mods. In that case 4GB might be helpful. Other than that gaming won't require more than 3GB, mostly 2 GB is enough.

Yes, games are using more Vram Watch dogs on ultra needs 3Gb. However more Vram does not mean better performance, the 780 is more than enough for gaming (at least on 1080P) Vram is useful when playing on higher resolution or thinking on SLI.
My choice is def the 780.
If you are still worried, why don't you just take the R9 280x? Similar performance to gtx 770 but 3Gb Vram

You can think that but overall EVGA is always the way to go. My second choice would be the ASUS DCUII and then maybe the Gigabyte.

3GB is going to be plenty for 1080p gaming as long as you don't want to go beyond 2x AA. And since the 780 is qualitatively superior to the 770, its hard to recommend the 4gb 770. (I'm assuming the price is close which is why you are asking)

Just to add a couple even more future proof suggestions. There are 780 6GB cards- these are of note if you plan on running multiple monitors or are thinking of 4k on that card. Alternatively, the Maxwell 800 series is coming out within the next 3-4 months if you can stand waiting. One would imagine Nvidia will finally beef up its reference Vram offerings to be more competitive. A 3rd suggestion would be to look at AMDs offerings which not only come with more Vram at each price point, but are also more powerful at the same price point (AMD offers more value atm).

Just some alternatives. Between the 2 I say 780 though

GTX 780 6GB is not available in my country, also what is its price ?
i can't wait 3-4 months for the 800 series and if i wait, will i be able to afford those cards ?
i saw the 800 series specs, they are not that good and they also have 3GB of Vram
for example : http://www.game-debate.com/hardware/index.php?gid=1408&graphics=GeForce%20GTX%20880
i really don't know if those specs are right or not :/

About AMD cards, a lot of people told me that if i wanna build a gaming pc then i should get Nvidia card for some reasons and they also told me that AMD cards usually have problems with the fan, drop in Ghz, low FPS in games that are supported with Nvidia such as watch dogs, etc so i don't wanna take that risk..

I believe that your opinion is GTX 780, Thank You

EVGA and ASUS are better quality manufacturers. EVGA has the best customer support and warranty on the market and both manufacturers have better quality components. ASUS produces the best custom PCB's on the market and VRM.

if i buy 770 4GB how long will it last me ?
i don't wanna max all the games of course and also i can turn off shadows, weather effects, etc
my monitor is acer 1440x900 resolution and i'm not intending to buy a new one so will GTX 770 4GB be enough
or should i buy the GTX 780 3GB for more future proof and more FPS ? i really don't know what to do..
i know that i'm annoying but i don't wanna regret buying something, it took me 3 years to make this money :/

Thanks

The resolution you are playing is too low for any card mentioned, I got a R9 280x, wich is capable of delivering 90FPS but my monitor is only 60Hz so I can not see those 30FPS wich is a 50%

I can guarantee you, that any GTX 770,R9 280X And 780 will kill any game at 1080P the Vram helps when playing at higher resolutions, SLI/Xfire or A TON OF MODS.

you can´t go wrong with any of this cards, but the best is the 780, 3Gb is more than enough, GTX 770(4Gb) I think is about the same price, but you won´t notice a difference if games dont use 4 Gb, wich as far as I know only Watchdogs can use.

My suggestion, Best Card GTX 780 (But I think it is a little too much power for your resolution)
GTX 770 4gb Not worth it
GTX 770 2Gb Worth it and it will max everything.
R9 280X Wirth it and it's a little more futureproofin because of 3Gb and maybe mantle
