So I tried playing Mass Effect 1 at 1050p, but my frame rates took a major dive. I've heard that 14.4 is a really bad driver, but I didn't see just how bad it was until I started playing both Mass Effect and ME2, and both these games ran flawlessly before; I know it's a driver issue. I want to go back to AMD Catalyst 13.12.

What do I do? I wrecked my computer before by doing an Express Uninstall--which deleted my USB drivers, and thus, I had no keyboard and mouse functionality at login. I know the AMD Catalyst package can leave some stuff behind during uninstall that can stop the functionality of Catalsyt Control Center when a new driver is installed (this was the reason I did an express uninstall in the first place--to get CCC to run/open, but now it works after reformatting my computer).

Any help will be appreciated. I think I will be sticking to 13.12 for a while; I don't trust the 14's.

Hey mclightning,
For me atleast, when I try to switch drivers I just when in the Windows control panel and uninstalled it from there, then I reboot the PC and install the new drivers. As for you USB drivers, can you download them for your motherboard's chipset?

Thanks for the reply. I got 13.12 working. I did a Custom Uninstall and only uninstalled the Display Driver and Catalyst Control Center, did a reboot, and installed the 13.12 driver and the CCC that came with the 13.12 package.
