I have a dell xps 8500 and I thought about taking the hard drive from it, RAM(8 GB ) and the motherboard. Is this a good idea? It has a i7 3770 CPU. I want to buy a tall see-through case, gtx 780 gpu, and a 750 PSU. Am I set?
Was just thinking a solid-state drive would add to the perceived speediness of the system, they are way way way faster than traditional hard drives for booting up the computer and loading programs. I highly recommend a Samsung Evo or Crucial ($80) 120gb, the use your existing hard drive for mass storage of your larger files (music, photos, ect.).
Not at all mandatory, just a nice boost in speediness...
