Hello friends at Tom,

I'm looking to install a network of APs in a 3 floor hotel to give guests access to internet.

The current system was done by one company that used residential d-link/apple routers... and then another company came in and added more linksys and tp-link routers.. now the entire system is a mess --- with 3 different networks guests have the option of signing onto.

NOW. I would like to re-do the entire system, but I need some advice on what type of products to use. I'm currently looking at the EnGenius ECB350 for AP's, but I'm not sure what I need as the main router.

My idea is to have INTERNET > SWITCH > ROUTER > AP > AP > AP > AP > AP ,etc...

Questions:
1. Is the EnGenius ECB350 good? What other AP's are recommended?
2. What router should I use to control the network (is roaming capable)?
3. Does it matter how the network cables are connected to the AP's? i.e. can floor 1 be daisty chained, and then one AP will have another cable to an AP on floor 2, and then that will be daisy chained across floor 2... etc? Will the network recognize all the APs?

I appreciate the help!

Starting off, this is incorrect:
"INTERNET > SWITCH > ROUTER > AP > AP > AP > AP > AP ,etc..."

Internet > Router > Switch.....

Based on that initial problem, hire someone. Hopefully someone better than the last two guys.

How many potential users, building construction, incoming bandwidth...all that and far more needs to be taken into consideration before any hardware is defined.
