Stress testing a cpu?

I am going to buy a used Q9550 on ebay. It is way too cheap at Rs 3700. The q8400 is Rs 3500.
But the problem is that the Q9550 has no warranty, the Q8400 has 1 year warranty(top rated seller)
I want the best program to stress test the Q9550 to see if its stable?
It says it is 100% tested, 100% working, but thats what they all say!
Please help
Is it ok to use pentium d stock cooler?
BTW, i will not overclock

Stress testers do not all exercise the same internal parts of a chip.
I use OCCT which works well. But prime95 and intel burn work differently.
You might try as many different ones you can get your hands on.

Which stress level should i run it?
i have 2 x 2 gb ddr3 ram and 32 bit windows 7 ultimate
