Hi i recently decided to build my first gaming pc,While searching for components on i came across this seller of Cheap custom pc's.

basically a pc with the same hardware i decided on accept the case and the power supply ,his Ebay store is selling for $519

The components

processor AMD FX6300 6 core 350/410GHz

power supply CX 600w

Motherboard gigabyte 78MTL USB3

crucial 8GB ram DDR3 1600mhz

Harddrive 1TB seagate barracuda

graphic card radeon R9 270x 2GB

Basic Samsung 24x DVD writer

windows 7 home premium 64bit installed

And the case vintage Blue gaming case with LED fans

Now being in the uk to build a pc with all these components would cost me around $500 including windows 7 home premium 64bit disk

Is a 19 pound differences worth the hassle

I've checked through his ebay profile nothing seems off 37735 Good feedback
Seems like a hell of a trusted seller you even get a 1 year collect and return warranty

But it seems like it too good to be true i mean many custom pc retailer basic rate for a build like that is about 650 to 750

So i Don't know

Seems reputable, but I think you might be able to do better if you build yourself, haven't looked at UK prices in awhile though.

CX 600 isn't great, but there's not anything wrong with it.

It's possible he just changed his mind about the PC he wants to build, and is just trying to remake his losses. I've sold new and barely used PC hardware on eBay before for a slight loss, as occasionally I'll change my mind about the hardware I want halfway through buying it, but can't return it.

@Rationale i get what your saying but maybe i should of empathize this a bit more this guy isn't a private seller you know just selling 1 or 2 items no his profile a ebay store specializing in pc with basically 100s of difference custom builds all with different hardware the 1 i mention hardware almost matches what i was going to use

@i7baby i was planning on using the Evga 500w And the corsair spec 01 case i think the power supply with his is considerablely better than my choice but i am not too keen on the case

@Blaise170 believe from my research uk prices isn't anything to shout about basically the components for my build where setting me back $500 and
His machines are offering a better power supply basically if i was going to builds a pc to his exacted hardware using the CX 600w it would cost me about $510 including windows 7 so i presume you can see why i am considering going for his machine

Solution

The CX600 uses poor capacitors.

They use Capxon and Samxon, which are both Chinese capacitor brands. They could have done better, but for a budget unit they aren't horrible. Most of the people using a CX600 aren't getting anywhere close to maxing out the power anyways. The PC linked in the OP would rarely, if ever, hit over 350W.
