thinking of building this during my break before the next semester. it'd be my 1st build. what do ya think??

MoBo and CPU mismatch get a 4690k or 4790k and best to get it w/ a MSI board ....will save ya $30 on the combo deals

MSI GFX card much quieter and much faster (954 Mhz versus 889) ....usually cheaper too.

You'll want an 850 watter so as to allow future SLI and if ya gonan spend that much on a case, get the Case of the year for 2014.

But point is you have a gaming card and the 4790k is a better gaming CPU. The Xeon doesn't help you SLI

how? the xeon is basically a non oc'd i7. i don't care about overclocking so the i7k offers no advantage
