First time build with a hard cap of $900. I plan on upgrading the memory to SSD eventually and most likely the GPU. Any advice or suggestions are much appreciated.

You haven't put in prices or sources.
Usually you an get a better card than the gtx660 but cheaper.
Corsair CSM aren't a real good power supply. Get a Seasonic 520, XFX 550 or Antec HCG 520M instead.
you dont need a 750 watt for your build so as said above get a seasonic ,xfx psu 550 watts and get a r9 270 if u are comfortable with AMD or u can w8 for 3-4 months nvidia 800 series is going to release in q4 2014
