Hello, I was thinking about moving to pc gaming. I have been playing on consoles for a while and now on my shitty laptop that can't play the latest games. If someone could link me a list of recommended components that would allow me to play games like Skyrim, BF4, Dark Souls, etc. for $700 preferably less but no more. I'm hoping to play on at least medium settings but hopefully high. Is it possible to build such a PC that will run those games at high settings for the price or not? I'm new to gaming PCs so I'm not sure but when ever I showed Alienware, Digital Storm products to my friend in the 600-700 dollar range he would laugh and say that I can build better PC for that price. I'm confused lol. Please help thanks!

this does not include a copy of windows, and yes, you can build one much better than a pre-built one for $700.

Cpu - AMD fx 6300
mobo - ASUS m5a97
Gpu - Radeon r9 270x
Ram - (2x4gb)
PSU - atleast 600 W
These are the main parts, I think you can figure out the rest of the peripherals you need

Go for an after market cooler if you wish to overclock your CPU

This will cost around $800 along with all the peripherals

Ok, thanks for all the reply guys. I know $700 is stretching it for High setting PC so I guess I wouldn't mind a PC that has lower settings as long as it is better compared to PS4, Xbox 1 consoles. Basically I want a PC that is worth every cent. So If I get a PC that will give me the same thing as the consoles these days and be more expensive then it is not worth it for me. I have never been a graphics person but for a PC I expect higher settings than those of a Next-Gen console. :)

Btw the PC builds listed by you guys are they better than the Vanquisher II lvl 1 PC that is going for $699? I'm guessing yes but I'm a noob so I ask a lot of questions...

Lol, ok but $700 is stretching it... really need to think about this. Again thanks for all the replies guys. I now have more insight on PCs vs consoles. You guys posted good builds now it is hard to decide, lol. Much respect thanks.
