Hi

i want to implement vpn connection to share data and local website in server.
please give the step by step procedure for both side (server and client).

i have the server with following configuration,

windows server 2008 r2 64 bit.
Intel xeon cpu E3-1220 v2 @3.10 Ghz
Internet speed is 25Mbps

and we have fortigate 40c firewall also.

I would recommend you check you firewall’s documentation on setting up it’s VPN features and then choose a VPN client that works with it. You can also use Windows Server as a VPN server and enable VPN passthrough on the firewall, but unless you’re managing many users or a Windows domain, I don’t see the advantage of doing so.

The steps you asked for depend heavily on the VPN server and client solutions you choose, so for that reason and also because I believe that the best way is for one to understand what he’s doing, I would recommend you start by defining your requirements and then studying the documentation in order to make the settings yourself.

I include some video tutorials to get you started...
