I recently bought an ASRock Z97 Pro4, and as near as I can tell, it is not a regular ATX-sized board. My research leads me to think it's an older motherboard layout, formerly known as mini-ATX. The problem being, I haven't found any new cases that fit that size MB. Am I missing something? The Corsair 330R case I bought doesn't have screw holes for mounting the front edge of the board. Are folks drilling and tapping their own MB mounting holes on off-the-shelf cases?

the mobo size may be different, but the standoff holes are the same, so any board that supports atx boards will be fine.

A lot of mobos vary slightly from standard size. Main thing is they fit and the standoff holes line up.

New day, fresh view. I might have moved a centering stud (which I'd never run across before) in one of the mounting holes last night, so all is fine now, and the build continues. Finished installing mobo and 4770k, ready to do other components and check for fit. Thanks to contributors.

The board is a little thinner and shorter than standard ATX.
