Okay so I was just playing cs:go and everything was good and running smoothly and randomly my screens turned off and my keyboard and mouse LEDS too. I was puzzled so I tried to turn my PC off and it wouldn't power off or reset with the buttons on the front so I had to turn off my power strip. I turned it back on and looked inside and my CPU cooler's fan had stopped spinning but everything else was working perfectly fine. Idk what to do I need some help! Thanks to anybody who attempts to solve this.

Corsair obsidian 750d case with stock fans
Asus r9 280x
i5 4670k stock clock speed
coolermaster hyper 212 evo cooling
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H mobo
Corsair RM 850w gold certified psu
2x4gb ddr3 1600mhz corsair vengeance ram
1tb wd blue hdd
Windows 7 professional 64 bit

Just tried to boot again, I'd like to note that my gpu fans DO in fact spin but my case fans are not working. It has been fine for such a long time and this was a very random event.

When you boot the computer, how far does it get? Can you get into the BIOS or Windows?

The CPU fan is the first thing I'd be looking at. Your computer may boot without it (the BIOS usually warns about a fan failure), but it wouldn't be long before the computer crashes or shuts down due to overheating.

PC fans use the +12V rail of your PSU, as does the fan on the GPU, so the fact that that works fine tells me that your PSU is unlikely to be the cause of the problem. That leaves us with the motherboard and the fans themselves.

It's highly unlikely that all the individual fans would suddenly go wonky all at once, so my suspicion is that the 12V input on the motherboard is the problem.

Okay so I boot the computer and none of the fans spin and I literally can not get a display. All 3 of my screens stay black. I can't get into the bios or anything.

If my motherboard 12V thing was out would I need a whole new replacement motherboard?

OK, I'd be fairly certain that the motherboard's 12V connector is faulty, but you may want to put it in another computer (if you can) to verify it.

You may be able to get the motherboard repaired, but I've not done it myself so can't make any recommendations. I doubt it will be worth the cost or hassle anyway.

I'm working on getting an RMA on my motherboard right now. Thank god for warranty. I appreciate the help.

I have one more thing: if I'm replacing my motherboard am I gonna have to reinstall windows and everything?

So I finally replaced my motherboard and got it back. I just did a test build like outside of the case with no success. I have no idea what to do. I'm so befuddled what the issue could be. My friend said something similar happened to him and it was his processer that was broken but I really hope that's not the case. Any suggestions?

I short the pins and it literally doesn't do anything, nothing moves, lights up, nothing. I tried to plug the power thing in from the case to the motherboard just to try that and it still did nothing.
