The i3 is what I'd think would bring the performance for those games down. Most of them require a quad-core processor to be played at Max settings. I'd also assume that the CPU might bottleneck the graphics card a little, causing stutter and FPS drops.
You haven't listed a motherboard, but I'd probably be inclined to tell you to switch to an AMD processor, due to your budget - you might be able to get a better AMD processor for the same price as the i3, possibly AMD Fx4370 - which is clocked at 4 GHz.

EDIT: FX 4350

no not yet. gtx 760's price is big in India. somewhere around 20k INR . i hv the other parts already. so thats my budget . i also thought about gtx 770 but it is around 26000 INR

the 760 will run most games well enough at high settings 1080p giving 30 to 60 fps. console ports it should max them out and give a solid 60 as long as its a well ported game... if its not well done you will need a quad core to grunt through shoddy programming.
witcher 3 is pc exclusive so theres a good chance there wont be a card currently available that will max the game out. last time with witcher 2 it crippled every current at the time gpu when you used the broken depth of field. again it will also prefer a quad.

Let's hope GTA V is a better port than GTA IV's for all our sakes.

Well according to the UK Amazon, that CPU is £182, which is more expensive than an AMD 8-core CPU, like the FX-8350 (£117). I'm only saying this because there is a £65 difference between the two in the UK. I'm not sure what the prices are like in your area, but this'd be better for the budget.
And yes that CPU should work with the motherboard, seeing as it's a second generation Intel CPU.

isn't 30+ fps enough ?? below that may b troublesome. why do they keep pushing games to 2015 ??
